Thoughtful Thursday

As you listen to this amazing classic by Bing Crosby, use each sheep in the picture to represent one of your blessings. And yes, I realize we are now counting sheep and blessings. Sorry, Bing. Wink, wink. I pray that you run out of sheep to count, and feel the peace and joy of Christ today. Blessings, Lisa

Thanking the Helpers

Counting my blessings this morning.

Husband, Mom, family, who never stop loving and helping.

Friends that give rides and cards and hugs.

Boots that help me walk better.

Music that gets me going.

God who never leaves me or forsakes me.

So very thankful for so many blessings.  If you recognize yourself in this list, please know that I appreciate you and love you all so very much.

And if you are helping someone in your life who is having a hard time, (and aren’t we all, in some way or another?) know that you are appreciated.  You are helping to keep them going.

Love, Lisa

Musings on a Bird

DSCN2710

To sing in the morning

To fly with my wings

To land where I wish

And see wonderful things

But to shiver in the damp

And to search for my food

To lose my home in the gusts

And my child in the wood

Better to think of the things that I’ve got

Than to yearn for the things that I’ve not

‘Tis the season…..the season for warmth on your skin, the season for salt in your hair, the season for cool waters surrounding and supporting you, the season for closing your eyes for a moment and just breathing…..wonderful summer.  🙂  Whatever you do this weekend, I pray that you feel those amazing small blessings in some way.  Gifts from God; little whispers that let you know He’s always there with you.  Slainte, Lisa

September….Where Did You Go?

998 Is it just me, or is time zooming by at the speed of light?  Sometimes I feel like I have stumbled into a time machine unbeknownst, and have zoomed far into the future.  🙂  Yes, it’s October, and the challenge?  To try to savor each moment of each day that God has granted me here in this month.  To enjoy more, to be aware more, to love more, to not miss the blessings as they come.  Pray for me, and I will pray for you.  Slainte, Lisa
