Pretty Cool Rocks

St. Lucia has some pretty awesome volcanic rock formations, and as you know, I love rocks. So here are some of my favorites.

The Keyhole

The Bat Cave

The Pirates of the Caribbean archway (yes, there’s no picture here, as our camera’s battery selected this moment to die out. But it was really, really cool!)

And the Two Pitons (giant volcanic rock mountains that my husband says he would love to climb someday 🙂 )

The roads here twist, turn, and climb, climb, climb. Exciting island with much to see. But sometimes things are easier to see by boat, which being on the water, is always my favorite way to go. Blessings on your day, Lisa

The Imperfect Can Sometimes Rock

When it comes to old castles, our family likes them less perfect, and more, well, imperfect. The perfect castles tend to come complete with tour guides and the admission cost that tends to come with them. (Although I’m mixed on that…those admission costs could help in keeping these wonderful old castles intact for another generation to enjoy.) But we love to explore these wonderful rocks on our own sometimes, and just imagine. 🙂 Don’t miss the beauty in the imperfect. Blessings, Lisa

On Track

When you’re hiking, you can get lost pretty quickly if you don’t stay on the trail. Things start looking the same and you can get turned around and disoriented. In dancing or figure skating, experts say to keep your eyes fixed on one focal point, so that you won’t get dizzy during spins; it keeps you grounded. In my life, if I take my eyes off God, I can get dizzy and lost and disoriented really quickly. And then I always wonder what happened….how did I get so discouraged? It usually takes me a few days to realize what I did…I lost sight of my focal point, my constant.

Hill or Mountain

Sometimes when I look at something that’s ahead of me, whether it’s a literal mountain hike or one of life’s other hurdles, it looks huge. Gigantuan and overwhelming. But if I can just start, just put one foot in front of the other and begin, little by little it usually gets done. And then looking back later, I realize it really was more of a hill and I shouldn’t have had the big freak out. 🙂 Here are some of our favorite hills/mountains that we have tackled. Step by step. Where the Streets Have No Name

If this cliffside pathway can be considered a street, then this one definitely has no name. (except maybe Scary and Beautiful, altogether) I put forth that it could be a street, as a street is a pathway, a way to journey or travel. And as you see, my son definitely did travel and achieve his destination, along the rocky path on to the edge of Ireland.
