A welcome break from the rushing about. Enjoy, Lisa
I double dare you to watch this whole video and not smile. And tap your feet, or hands, or maybe even get up and start jigging at the computer. 🙂 Brilliant and creative use of rhythm by the Kilfenora Ceili Band and Michael Donnellan. By the time the dancing started I was laughing out loud at the wonderfulness of it all. Have an inspired and creative weekend. Slainte, Lisa
When you’re hiking, you can get lost pretty quickly if you don’t stay on the trail. Things start looking the same and you can get turned around and disoriented. In dancing or figure skating, experts say to keep your eyes fixed on one focal point, so that you won’t get dizzy during spins; it keeps you grounded. In my life, if I take my eyes off God, I can get dizzy and lost and disoriented really quickly. And then I always wonder what happened….how did I get so discouraged? It usually takes me a few days to realize what I did…I lost sight of my focal point, my constant.
“Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; He’s the one who will keep you on track.” – Proverbs 3:5-6 (The Message)
I pray that I can keep focused on His voice, and I pray the same for you today. Blessings, Lisa
True confession time: when my son was small, we were a Barney, yes the big purple dinosaur, kind of household for a time. As the amazingly agile and light-footed dinosaur would sing and dance his way through thirty minutes of Barney-world scenarios, things seemed lighter, happier, not so serious.
As an admitted music junkie and an amazingly avid dance fan (for someone who can’t dance 🙂 ), I think Barney’s on to something. I feel the same way when I watch The Muppet Movie and see everyone singing and dancing through the town, “Life’s a Happy Song.” Before I know it, I’m singing along and bopping my head like nobody’s business. I watch “Riverdance” and “Lord of the Dance” and related hard-shoe fantasticness and any sense of doom and gloom I might have felt prior lifts right away.
So to begin your weekend off right, and to put a spring in your step and a song in your heart….here’s your jumpstart. Slainte, Lisa
P.S. If you start singing Barney or Kermit songs today, hold your head high and sing loud! 😉
I just saw this on Irish Central and had to share it. These dolphins are so happy and full of joy; it will make you smile to watch them. They were off the coast of Donegal, and the article said it was rare to see this many dolphins in this area. Watch for the mother/baby swimming around around the 1:00 minute mark, and also the beautiful still shots in the sunset starting around 3:00 minutes.
“So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems..” (Gen. 1:21) 🙂 Slainte, Lisa
