Just walk through…it’s waiting…white sand, blue waters, warm breezes.
A bit of Caribbean dreaming for the day. Slainte, Lisa
Before these precious little crocuses in my yard get squashed by the 6 to 12 inch snow the forecasters say is coming, I wanted to share them with you. Spring is coming…the flowers and budding trees and green grass and warmth on our faces. I have to tell you, I’m not a big snow fan, but I know complaining and moaning about it will only make it worse. So I’m going to focus on what I know is ahead, past the other side of the wet stuff.
There’s a great song by Steven Curtis Chapman called “Spring Is Coming” that he wrote when he and his family were facing very hard days. There are seasons, and after the hard times have passed, the warmth will return. It’s coming. 🙂 Blessings and love, Lisa
Weekends usually hold a lot of expectation for most people. Time to relax, time to be with family, time to reconnect with friends, time to pursue some grand adventure. And sometimes the expectation can be rather exhausting. “What are we going to do this weekend? I don’t know…what do you want to do?” etc. Sometimes it’s good just to rest and recharge for the next week, and not have so many plans. Here’s a great psalm for meditating on contentment and peace.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not be in want

He makes me lie down in green pastures
He leads me beside quiet waters
He restores my soul. (Psalm 23:1-3a)
In the midst of your weekend, take a deep breath and just be….just be. The best Shepherd ever is taking care of us. Slainte, Lisa
The waves crash and fill the senses like the voice of God
The sound washes to shore peacefully like the whisper of a breeze
Seagulls dive and call like clarions on the wind
Salt air blows and clears your mind like a good night’s sleep
Soft sand surrounds your feet like the sweetest down
Peace descends on your heart….you are there, you are loved, all is well.

Warning: The following post is a shameless plug for Thomas’ English Muffins. If you have a keen dislike of a nooks and crannies-filled delectable morsel of a muffin, topped with butter and orange marmalade, you may want to discontinue reading immediately.
Yes, it’s that kind of morning….things a little out of the normal, schedules slightly askew, and finally things are settled down. And I am sitting down with said delectable 100 percent whole wheat English muffin as we speak. In fact, I am hardly able to write this post as it is calling to me even now….”Take another bite, take another bite.” You know how those English muffins can be. Persistent and so cute that they’re hard to resist. And I’m not going to resist a moment longer. Enjoy your simple pleasures today…they can sometimes be the best. Slainte, Lisa
