The last track off Flight of Freedom….I can’t wait to fly, really fly, one day. I will see all those I love who have passed, and we will talk and talk and it will seem as if we have been only a second apart. Then Jesus will come, and I will see Him, and that will be all I will ever have to see again. Voice like many waters, Love radiating from every part of Him. Have a blessed weekend! Lisa
A little Irish music to kick off your weekend. Have a great one! Slainte, Lisa

Holding on, letting go, and finding joy and meaning in the midst of it all…life seems to be a balance of all these things. As I grow older, I find more and more that what I need to hold on to, what is constant, is my relationship with God who made me and knows me. Whatever changes in my life, He doesn’t. And I’m so thankful for that.
I’m a musician, a pianist mostly. Everything else springs from that…the vocals, the songwriting. And in the past few months, I found that I have a problem in my thumb…no cartilage from overuse. So I’ve been icing, heating, exercising, resting, bracing the thumb that I took for granted all these years. My daughter and I were talking about Prokofiev the other day, and it hit me…I probably will never play that again. Too much strain on the thumb. And it made me sad. Holding on, letting go, finding joy. Loss is a part of life for all of us, but after the storm of sadness, there is still joy. I can still play the piano, just differently, and I am thankful. I don’t take it for granted anymore like I used to. And I’m not just a musician; I’m God’s child. And one day, all will be made new; no more tears and sadness. And that’s joy.
I thought about not sharing all this, because I never want to be a downer, only an encouragement. But I know that many of you are facing hard times also, and we are here to pray and help each other along the way. Let me know if I can pray for you. Blessings, Lisa
“Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid.” – Isaiah 12:2a
Ok, so I just saw these dogs play the piano, and I must say that I am amazed. And check out their happy faces while they play. Also, no discernible “I’m the best musician around attitude”….a refreshing way to be awesome. 🙂 So watch this, you’ll be glad you did. 🙂 Slainte, Lisa

Most of you already know this, but I’ll say it again….I love music. It can set my heart free from the burdens of this world and put me in a better mood almost within a few bars of a good song. Where does good music come from? Does it….
..Come from sitting at an instrument, improvising and having fun and then it suddenly comes like a bolt from above?
..Come from having skilled and talented mixers/recorders/engineers and using the very best that technology offers?
..Come from above, inspired by an amazing Creator God who has made us in His image, able to love and be inspired and create a new thing?
Actually, I think all three are valid and true. I am totally into a good mic and an awesome effect put on my voice to make it sound just a little cooler than before. 🙂 I love sitting at the piano and playing away, some good and some bad chords until something just hits me. And I also know, without a doubt, that God above allows me to live and move and do anything that I can do. “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights…” -James 1:17 Have an awesome week ahead, using the very special and unique gift that you have, to create something new and beautiful.
