Keith Green, one of my all time favorites. “He’ll Take Care of the Rest”, 1977.
This is what I am trying to do lately. Not think and figure and plan…..just watch and listen and be. I fail many, many times at this, but the times where I can rest in the beauty of what God has made and Who He is…..what joy.
“You have made known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand.” – Psalm 16:11
Love and joy to all of you today, Lisa
I have been playing the piano this morning. Longing, sweet, melancholy melodies that express what is inside me in a way that words can never do. Pouring frustrations out upon the keys. Feeling the feelings as they come.
Healing through the keys, through the instrument, through the music. One note at a time.
If you are looking for a listening or playing recommendation this morning, I heartily and unreservedly recommend Benny Andersson, Piano.
When I am down, music never fails to lift me up. One of the greatest gifts God ever gave us is music. I would like to give away some of my CDs for free to anyone who is interested. If you would like a free digital copy of my latest CD, An Unexpected Journey, please send me a message below with your email, and I will send you a code to download it. Or if you prefer a physical CD, send me your address, and I will mail you one. 🙂 With so many negative things everywhere, I just wanted to offer one small positive thing from my corner of the world.

If you haven’t heard Benny Andersson play the piano, you are missing something wonderful. He is the Swedish composer behind ABBA, Chess, Mamma Mia!, and Kristina fran Duvemala.
His album, Piano, was released in 2017, and is on near constant repeat in my house and in my car. Melodies and piano, simple and complex all at the same time. Sparkling, brooding, hopeful, full of room for the imagination to run wild. Music that makes me want to sit down and play the piano immediately.
Do yourself a favor and get a copy. Enjoy, and have a wonderful, blessed weekend.
