Banish Misfortune

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! As always, my heart is yearning for beautiful Ireland, and the music follows.

Here is a reworked version of the tune, “Banish Misfortune”, with some new lyrics I added, retitled “God Is Stronger”. It’s just a rough demo I recorded at home on the piano. I pray it encourages you on this day and helps you and me to remember that God is indeed stronger than ANYTHING we face. He can do everything, anything, all things.

Love to you all, and enjoy the day!

Love, Lisa

Praise You In This Storm

I have been singing the bridge of this song on repeat this morning…..

“I lift my eyes unto the hills, where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth…”

Here is my cover of “Praise You In This Storm” written by Mark Hall & Bernie Herms.

Praise God for music….refocuses me in an instant. 🙂

Be blessed today. Love, Lisa

Joie de vivre, Part deux

This is what I am trying to do lately. Not think and figure and plan…..just watch and listen and be. I fail many, many times at this, but the times where I can rest in the beauty of what God has made and Who He is…..what joy.

“You have made known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand.” – Psalm 16:11

Love and joy to all of you today, Lisa

No Words, Only Music

I have been playing the piano this morning. Longing, sweet, melancholy melodies that express what is inside me in a way that words can never do. Pouring frustrations out upon the keys. Feeling the feelings as they come.

Healing through the keys, through the instrument, through the music. One note at a time.

Love, Lisa

If you are looking for a listening or playing recommendation this morning, I heartily and unreservedly recommend Benny Andersson, Piano.
