Three birds recently hired by the Outer Banks to patrol the relatively empty beaches and report on their wonderfulness. Also included in their duties are : amount of fish seen in the waters, amount of splash in the waves upon diving down, and air quality whilst flying. The powers that be are having trouble however, in getting the birds to report in…they are too happy flying and diving. 😉 Have a bit of fun in your day today, and don’t forget to personify the occasional animal! Summer Says See You Soon!
I always get a little sad when summer is leaving. I am a summer girl…love walking outside with no coat, no gloves….love the water…..love the feeling of the heat on my skin and my face. But whenever I’m sad about someone or something leaving, I don’t say “goodbye.” I say “see you soon!” And the things I love are still there, they are just out of sight for a little while. Meanwhile, I will try to embrace the cooler air and sweaters re-emerging from dark recessed places of my closet. The wind will hit my face; I’ll breathe deeply; life is a wonderful gift. Blessings, Lisa

Celebrity Encounters
It’s not every day that you get to hang out with Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe, and Johnny Depp. Clark did not appreciate my greediness. 😉 (Johnny doesn’t look too pleased either.) Oh, well. Have fun today, and enjoy all the gift that is this life. Slainte, Lisa

Beneath the Pier
Queen of Stone
Queen Elizabeth I, likeness captured in stone and bronze and placed in this garden*. She stands in serene stillness, never changing in gaze, overseeing the trees and flowers. It may be just me, but statues can sometimes freak me out. 🙂 Beautiful yes, but sometimes I just keep expecting them to move or change position, yet they stay and stay and stay. And yes, I also realize that I am personifying inanimate objects again….don’t judge me. heehee 😉 Have a peaceful and joyful weekend. Slainte, Lisa
