When I See

This song was written as I journeyed through a difficult passage of life. I pray it encourages your soul this morning, no matter what you are traveling through. Jesus never leaves us or forsakes us. He will come in glory in the clouds someday soon, and we will see Him. And every tear will be wiped away. Praise God! If you need prayer, let me know. I would love to pray for you. Blessings, Lisa

The Mist of Mystery

Dalkey, Ireland in the mist

The mist of my knowledge swirls through the mind

The haze of what I do not know blankets the doorways of time

God alone knows all, why do I worry

He will lead me through the mist of His Mysteries

“And He made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment – to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.” – Ephesians 1:9-10

“He reveals mysteries from the darkness
And brings the deep darkness into light.” – Job 12:22

“It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things;
He knows what is in the darkness,
And the light dwells with Him.” – Daniel 2:22

I think a lot of anxiety stems from holding on tightly to the outcome of the future. From trying to control what will be. When I let go, really let go, and trust God for the outcome and the meaning of the mysteries, there is an amazing sense of surrender. Of peace.

There are things that I will never understand until I see Christ Jesus face to face, and I am glad of that. I am glad that my God is great and mighty and way past all my human comprehension. He is worthy, holy, amazing. He is God, and I am not.

Praise to Him, Lisa

The Rabbit Holes of Research

Scene: Writer is sitting at computer, working on in-progress novel.

Rising Action: Said writer decides to go online to research a portion of the history.

Climax, and also falling action: The research continues for two hours, as said writer finds so many interesting facts, contradictory issues, and related stories.

Conclusion: Writer is tired of sitting at the computer. Calls it a day after only writing two paragraphs on novel.

This was yesterday. Hopefully, it will not be today.

If any of you have any helpful tips to avoid these research rabbit holes, I am all ears.

Blessings on your day,

Lisa

Peace Despite

Rossbeigh Beach, County Kerry

Peace despite the raging sea, the howling wind, uncertainty

Peace despite the circumstance, the strong what-ifs, the hurt within

Peace, it comes as gentle dove, as quiet voice, as ever there

Peace His Name is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Risen Lamb

May you find the peace that passes understanding, resting in the arms of a great and unchanging Savior. Blessings, Lisa
