…here. The practical Lisa knows that airfare for a family makes this prohibitive. The dreamer Lisa hopes that somehow magically lower rates will appear on Aer Lingus’ website at any minute! 😉 Hey, a girl can dream, right? Slainte, Lisa
A beach where no one seemed to walk,
A church that had few walls but still had beauty,
Souls at rest,
Peaceful day.

*Postscript: Days like these are why I love Ireland so. So many places that seem untouched by tourism and glitz; just time, history, rocks, water, sky. Quintessential Ireland.
Here’s a picture of my husband’s and my impossible dream. It’s an abandoned beachside hotel/resort on Barbados’ North Point shore. Our taxi driver Ralph took us out there, and told us that the hotel had been abandoned and for sale for several years. More like 10 years plus by the look of the crumbling walls of the hotel. Yet it was one of those “wouldn’t that be cool” moments you have in your life, where you think “what if we bought it and fixed it and lived on this cliffside in the Caribbean the rest of our lives” moments. But then reality of the money, money, and more money sank in, and we realized that the dream wasn’t maybe so good after all. But every time I look at these pictures, it brings a certain thrill again. Maybe this place is calling to one of you! heehee 🙂 Slainte, Lisa
Do you remember this? Flying higher and higher on your swing until you felt like you were a bird or Peter Pan or some other invincible flying object? The best of times, for me as a child, was swinging on my swing.
May your weekend be filled with invigorating breezes, sun on your face, and a smile in your heart. Fly. 🙂 Slainte, Lisa
