Down the Path

DSCN1161

DSCN1227Here are two pathway pictures taken in the Elizabethan Gardens, Manteo, NC.  Do you prefer the winding path where you can’t see the end, or the straight path, where the end is clearly visible?  I have to say that I prefer the winding one, although in life, I always feel that I want to know what’s going to happen.  But maybe I really don’t…life is so much the better for the surprises, the “wow, I didn’t expect that”, the bends and turns and beauty discovered after time.  And so this is what my brain is thinking about on a Monday morning….I think another cup of coffee is in order.  😉  Slainte, Lisa

“Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.”  ~Psalm 25:4

Looking for a Place to Shine

DSCN1303

Since I was a little girl, I have been drawn to the light.  To the sunshine, to smiling people, to laughter, to music, to water dancing diamonds in the day.  My soul cries out for those things and needs them like food.  God calling out to me….that’s how He does it.  With light and beauty and music; all saying “I’m here…I’m here.”  Today I’m going to try to be one of those sparkly, smiley people; with His help, I’m going to look for my place to shine. 🙂  Blessings, Lisa

*Postscript:  Days like these are why I love Ireland so.  So many places that seem untouched by tourism and glitz; just time, history, rocks, water, sky.  Quintessential Ireland.

Every Little Thing….

….is gonna be alright.  Sometimes my dreams of the night before put me into a fretful waking up feeling…has that ever happened to you?  So watching God’s beautiful ocean and listening to the sounds of the waves drowning out all other things is just the prescription.  Listen, pray, breathe, relax…every little thing is gonna be alright.  🙂  Slainte, Lisa
