Here are two pathway pictures taken in the Elizabethan Gardens, Manteo, NC. Do you prefer the winding path where you can’t see the end, or the straight path, where the end is clearly visible? I have to say that I prefer the winding one, although in life, I always feel that I want to know what’s going to happen. But maybe I really don’t…life is so much the better for the surprises, the “wow, I didn’t expect that”, the bends and turns and beauty discovered after time. And so this is what my brain is thinking about on a Monday morning….I think another cup of coffee is in order. 😉 Slainte, Lisa
“Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.” ~Psalm 25:4
I prefer to twisted, turning path, where the end is not in site but we all know is coming. It is the pleasant surprises on our journey that make it so interesting.
I totally agree with you! Enjoy the twisty turny bends today. 🙂 Lisa
Thankfully, it was a straight needle!!
Extraordinarily beautiful images!
Thank you so much! Those gardens are so beautiful that you really can’t take a bad picture. 🙂 Have a great day, Lisa
I like them both, but do tend toward the curvy roads.
Yes, the straight road is atmospheric with the lovely cobblestone bricks and shrubberies, but the curve makes me think, “What’s around that curve?” 🙂 Thanks so much for writing, and enjoy your roads today. Lisa
