Rest For Your Soul

“This is what the Lord says:

‘Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.’ ” ~Jeremiah 6:16

“Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.” ~Psalm 42:11

“When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul.”  ~Psalm 94:19

Cockapoo Puppy At Rest

An unusual but welcome sight in the day of a puppy owner’s life.  🙂  Usually we see this face:  “Can we go out?  Please?  I love you!”

DSCN2235 Finnegan is now five and a half months old, and lost his first baby tooth the other day.  My youngest daughter was upset that there was apparently no tooth fairy for dogs.  But Finnegan got an extra treat or two (or ten) that day, which is the best kind of tooth fairy for him.  🙂  Have a blessed day!  Lisa

Sitting By the Riverbank

Sometimes I want to take on the world, walking vigorously, exploring all there is to see.  But other days I just want to sit by the riverbank and watch it flow.  Listen to the waters flowing over the rocks, watch the birds overhead in flight, rest my body in the soft green grass.  Both ways have merit and worth, just differently.  Action and thought.  Both integral parts of this thing that God has given us….life.  “He leads me beside the still waters; He restores my soul.”  ~Psalm 23:2b-3a
