Fresh Wind of Change

happydog

Usually change terrifies me….but God is doing something new in me.  Changes are coming in our family, and I’m feeling rather exhilarated, excited, anticipatory.  (Plus, I’m wanting to use flowery adjectives, which is not such a good thing.  haha)  New schools, new job, new challenges and schedules.  Not boring, not predictable, and definitely not the same-old, same-old.  🙂  The winds of change are blowing, but I’m not afraid because my good God is in the middle of it all.  Blessings to you today, Lisa

Everywhere is Home to Someone

When I travel, I tend to forget that everywhere I go is still home to someone.  People live there, work there, get born there, go through good and bad times there.  I’m taking pictures like there’s no tomorrow, taking it all in like fresh air.  But to others, it’s what they see everyday and fight not to take for granted.  I’ve noticed it where I live also.  We live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, and while I’m very used to the sight of the mountains, the hiking, the babbling rivers, others will travel in cars and big tour buses to stay in little cabins out here and experience it.  So no matter where you’re living today, where you call home is special.  I’m going to try to appreciate my corner of the world a little more today.  🙂  Slainte, Lisa

Rest For Your Soul

“This is what the Lord says:

IMG_3280

‘Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.’ ” ~Jeremiah 6:16

“Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.” ~Psalm 42:11

“When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul.”  ~Psalm 94:19

I pray that these verses bring peace to your soul this morning.  Take a moment and just rest beside Jesus.  Blessings, Lisa

Peace That Passes Understanding

St. Stephen’s Green, Dublin

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” ~John 14:27

No way to understand it, but when you experience it, you know it’s real.  Jesus is always there, and He will give you just what you need for that moment.  The peace comes, you breathe deeply, He’s right there.  Blessings, Lisa
