Sometimes I want to take on the world, walking vigorously, exploring all there is to see. But other days I just want to sit by the riverbank and watch it flow. Listen to the waters flowing over the rocks, watch the birds overhead in flight, rest my body in the soft green grass. Both ways have merit and worth, just differently. Action and thought. The Friday before Christmas, and all through the house, not a shopper was shopping, not even the mouse. I declare today a NON shopping day; we have everything and more that we could possibly need and what is really needed is peace. What I really need is to be thankful that Jesus came, and have the space and time to be able to appreciate that. I love winter at the ocean. Yes, it can be cold and windy, but the beach is empty and ours for just a little while. Except for the birds who love it all year round. This little guy was chilling out by the waves (almost looks like he’s napping), and then showed off his amazing flying skills to the camera.
