“The LORD keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The LORD keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.”
– Psalm 121:7-8
Lush canopy of green leaves shelter the life beneath and amidst
Mystery, beauty, relief from heat, provider of shade, web of moisture
Heavens above, trees and green, ground
Christ, heaven, redemption, souls
Under the canopy of His protection

“Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation.” -Psalm 91:14-16
“Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me, for in you my soul takes refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed.” – Psalm 57:1
What is peace? Read this story shared by Bill Wilcox:
Someone had offered a large prize for the best painting that depicted the concept of peace. There were many entries of bucolic pastures with animals grazing, fields of flowers, and other such peaceful settings. The winning entry was much different. The scene was a rocky shoreline with towering cliffs in the midst of a frightening storm. Huge waves were crashing violently over the rocks, and the winds were fierce. Lightning flashed from the dark and menacing clouds that were dropping torrents of rain on the landscape below. In a small cleft of rock part way up the cliff above the shoreline was perched a small bird at rest – protected and covered by the rock surrounding it – safe from the vicious storm.
“He will cover you with his wings; you will be safe in his care; his faithfulness will protect and defend you.” ~Psalm 91:4
Be the bird. Blessings, Lisa
Our dog Finnegan has a baby. A little raccoon toy that he has loved since he first came to our home at 7 weeks old. He loves to cuddle with it, and when he’s not with Baby, he feels compelled to hide him in a safe location until Finnegan decide to play with him again. He’ll walk around and around the house, carrying Baby in his mouth, looking for just the perfect spot.
Here’s where I found Baby yesterday.
And here’s Finnegan, on the opposite couch, resting but still close by.
It reminds me of a verse in the Bible which has really comforted me lately. “He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge.” ~Psalm 91:4
Hidden, safe, protected, always watched over by my Father in heaven. Blessings, Lisa
“May God grant you always…
A sunbeam to warm you,
A moonbeam to charm you,
A sheltering angel, so nothing can harm you.” ~Irish Blessing
“For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.” ~Psalm 91:11
“Are not the angels all ministering spirits, servants sent out in the service [of God for the assistance] of those who are to inherit salvation?” ~Hebrews 1:14
Quiet, listen….the things of God are all around us. We just have to be still, listen, seek; we will find. Blessings, Lisa
