What You’re Looking For

DSCN3980

There is an old saying, “You will find what you are looking for.”  This reminds me of the time my husband and I were looking for a certain castle near the Burren.  We thought we had followed the inconspicuous signs correctly, and we pulled up in front of an impressive building full of hope and upcoming adventure.

We knocked and tried to gain access to said castle, and finally a very nice gentleman came to the door and asked if he could help us.  We asked to take a tour of the castle, and he politely told us that this was a private home.  🙂

In our minds, it was a castle, and looked like a castle.  To the man who lived there, it is his castle.  So, I guess it’s a castle.

What we look for is often what we find.  Good or bad….a lot of times it is how we choose to look at something.   Love, Lisa

P.S.  By the way, if you are reading this, and this happens to be your home….it is beautiful!  🙂

Pull Up the Drawbridge….More Rain Coming

A throw-back photo from Cahir Castle, when my son was a little man of seven, circa 2001.  995

Sure wish we had a strong drawbridge about now, or an ark would do fine also.  Multitudinous amounts of rain forecast here over the next few days.

Stay safe and dry in your castle.  Slainte, Lisa

“Imagine yourself as a living house.  God comes in to rebuild that house.  You thought you were going to be remade into a decent little cottage, but He is building a palace.”

“Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes,  but when you look back, everything is different…”

“He loved us not because we were lovable, but because He is love.”

“Courage, dear heart.”

Wise words from a wonderful writer to start my mind and heart this morning.  Have a blessed day, Lisa

What’s Around the Corner?

1226

None of us know what’s around the corner until we step forward and keep going.  Good or bad, it’s our life and life is full of learning.  As we travel through, around, beneath, and atop, we will discover many things.  Beauty, joy, and peace are the things my soul longs for. God has placed these things in the smallest of leaves, the intricacy of cloud formations in the sky, the amazingness of rocks that somehow hold together for hundreds of years.  His love for me is written in the sky, and in the earth He created, and on His hands and feet.  I just have to remember to keep looking.  I would love to hear from you how you see and hear God the best.   Slainte, Lisa
