Dreams, plans, hopes….intangible things that provide great hope in a person. It’s very easy to let go of dreams when life gets busy and hectic, but I believe that God places the good and right dreams and hopes in a person…His plan for each person is different and perfect. “But those who plan what is good find love and faithfulness.” (Proverbs 14:22) “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.” (Proverbs 16:3)
Now sometimes dreams don’t work out, but I believe it’s because we can’t see the bigger perspective that God sees…He knows the very best thing for us, and sometimes we’re too close and can’t see it. But later on, down the road, we will. So I’m challenging myself to hold on and cherish those dreams God has placed inside me, to live with hope and plans and a future, committing myself to Him and holding on for the awesome ride. 🙂 Slainte, Lisa

Yes, I’ve been a slacker, and no, I’m not sad about it. My husband and I just had a wonderful 25th anniversary trip to the Southern Caribbean, where we recharged, refreshed, and relaxed. Have you ever packed a suitcase when you didn’t know where you were headed? Have you ever taken off on a car trip without planning your final destination, just drove and drove until you stopped? I have, and hope to again someday. It is a remarkably untamed, unplanned, and unpredictable feeling of an adventure. Scary at the outset if you are a planner, but sometimes just what we humans need to let go of control a little.
One day, when God calls me home at a time when He knows is best, I will be headed off on one of those grand adventures, not really sure what it will be like, but definitely sure that if Jesus is there, it will be amazingly great. And until that time, life is such a gift, and I’m going to try to love, and encourage, and enjoy, and see, and treasure as much as I can with God’s grace.
