The wave recedes, the memory of the water remains on the sand for a moment in time. Before the memory totally fades away, another wave appears to regain what was lost. Nothing is ever lost which is kept safe in the heart. Blessings, Lisa
When I’m in the midst of winter, sometimes it feels that it will last forever. But every year, I’m wrong! Spring and summer come back, the world warms again, sweaters are gratefully put away, and the warmth floods through my body as a tonic. So on this cold day when we’re calling for 5-8 inches of snow, I need to remember that. It’s coming. Earlier on this particular day, it was windy, so much so that we couldn’t open our car doors at the beach. But we got to this wooded and sheltered path, just 5 miles down the road, and the wind was still. It was warm and cozy and protected.
