Here’s two very amusing videos I saw today on Youtube with sweet little animals “singing” Deck the Halls and jumping around to Jingle Bells. They made me smile, and hope they do the same for you! Slainte, Lisa

“I Saw Three Ships (Come Sailing In)” is one of my favorite Christmas carols. Written in 1666 using an old English folk tune, historians are mixed and unsure of what the composer’s lyrics actually represent. Do the three ships refer to the camels bringing the three wise men through the desert to worship the newborn king…the “ships of the desert”? Joseph, Mary, and the baby Jesus Christ coming into Bethlehem? I have a rather lacksadaisacal approach to these kind of questions…I usually just pick the most logical theory, and then not worry about it, because I just like the song! 🙂 And I choose…..hmmm, if I told you, then it wouldn’t be a mystery anymore! Here is my favorite version of “I Saw Three Ships”, performed by the Chieftains and Marianne Faithfull. Have a wonderful day. Slainte, Lisa
Here is one of my very favorite trad groups performing “A Christmas in Ireland.” Hopefully this will put a spring in your step to finish up those last minute Christmas preparations. 🙂 Slainte, Lisa
The baby Jesus that we celebrate at Christmas grows up and does amazing things. He is the reason that I have love and forgiveness and hope in my life. Watch this video by Natalie Grant, and be joyful, because you have hope also. He loves you.

We are going to be gathered…into the beauty that is Ireland in 2013. 🙂 Ed & I have been saving for our 25th anniversary next year. At first we thought that we should visit some other beautiful parts of the world, like Italy or the Greek Islands. But the pull was great, and the parts of Ireland that we’ve never seen were greater still, and we knew there was nowhere else we’d rather be. So we’re going back to check out the Northwest…Sligo, Donegal and a few places inland that we’ve yet to explore. So if any of you locals know of some great places to see, please chime in!
I dearly hope that we have a sheep experience like this one…I laughed so hard watch these sheep run down the hill towards his car. Enjoy watching these beautiful creatures attempt to see if this guy has any food. (It’s either that, or the sheep are training for the big marathon. 🙂 ) Slainte, Lisa
