Do You Remember?

Do you remember this feeling?

Or how about this one?

Find one reason today to feel like that again.

Some ideas to get you started if you’re feeling sleepy this morning:

…When you’re outside, and the mood hits you, twirl in the grass, or take your shoes off, or sing, or all of the above.

…When you take a walk, pretend you’re trekking to China with pirates chasing you, and who knows? there might be treasure along the way.  Keep an eye out!

…Get in the water and make a giant water suction bubble with your hands under the water.  Do it again.

…Pick up a pretty rock you see, and then look for another one.  Start a new rock collection just for the day.

…Pick a flower and really look at it and breathe deeply.  Spring is here!

Blessings to you, Lisa

Spring Is Coming

DSCN0279

Before these precious little crocuses in my yard get squashed by the 6 to 12 inch snow the forecasters say is coming, I wanted to share them with you.  Spring is coming…the flowers and budding trees and green grass and warmth on our faces.  I have to tell you, I’m not a big snow fan, but I know complaining and moaning about it will only make it worse.  :/  So I’m going to focus on what I know is ahead, past the other side of the wet stuff.

There’s a great song by Steven Curtis Chapman called “Spring Is Coming” that he wrote when he and his family were facing very hard days.  There are seasons, and after the hard times have passed, the warmth will return.  It’s coming.  🙂  Blessings and love, Lisa

Turning Over a New Leaf

My yard is full of new leaves…some of them are just a week or two old, full of greenness and newness.  Looking around, I see green, green, and more green, and with all that color, I see hope and new life and renewal.  They remind me that in Christ I am a new creation; the old has passed, the new has come.  (2 Cor. 5:17)  God is all about new beginnings…”do-overs”….Thank goodness for that; I tend to need a lot of them in my life.  🙂  Enjoy the green today!  Slainte, Lisa
