“Dear old world’, she murmured, ‘you are very lovely, and I am glad to be alive in you.”

“The world looks like something God had just imagined for his own pleasure, doesn’t it?”

“Isn’t it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive–it’s such an interesting world.”

~L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables

Tuesday Tree Tribute

1527

Trees are wonderful.  They shade, they cool, they are beautiful.  They speak of unchanging things, and give a small glimpse into eternity, where the things of Jesus do not change.  They speak of strength and resilience.  Here are some of my favorite trees that I have come across.  Slainte, Lisa

Flying to the Sea

DSCN1352

If I was a bird, I’d fly to the sea

I’d let my wings hover dangerously close to the water

The beach breezes would carry me effortlessly, no flapping required

I’d fly and fly and fly

When night came, I’d nestle down beside a cool sand dune and rest,

Knowing that tomorrow, I’d do it again.

“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” ~Isaiah 40:31
