Summer Says See You Soon!

DSCN2724

I always get a little sad when summer is leaving.  I am a summer girl…love walking outside with no coat, no gloves….love the water…..love the feeling of the heat on my skin and my face.  But whenever I’m sad about someone or something leaving, I don’t say “goodbye.”  I say “see you soon!”  And the things I love are still there, they are just out of sight for a little while.  Meanwhile, I will try to embrace the cooler air and sweaters re-emerging from dark recessed places of my closet.  The wind will hit my face; I’ll breathe deeply; life is a wonderful gift.  Blessings, Lisa

Changing, Yet Remaining

949

I’ve been thinking about change.  Sand dunes blow, shift, rearrange with time, wind, and water.  Yet the essence of the sand dune remains.  It’s still sand; it is still present in some form although maybe different.  Storms blow through all our lives, rearranging things, shifting priorities, helping us to see what’s really important.  Family, friends, Jesus, love, sacrifice for others, giving, smiling, caring….those are the things that remain.  Things may look different, but they are really the same.  “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.  But the greatest of these if love.” ~1Corinthians 13:13  Hold on to what remains, and know that no matter what changes come into your life, God’s love for you remains steady and unchanging, always.  Slainte, Lisa

The Lonely Microphones

699

Microphones are amazing; they amplify, they enhance, they enrich.  Yet without the sound, the voice; they are simply waiting.  Waiting for the person, the instrument, the sound, the vibrations to enter in and make the magic.  Hopefully these mics won’t have to wait too long.  🙂

Sing a new and happy song on your Wednesday; with or without your mic, God will love it!  🙂  Slainte, Lisa
