On a Level Path

DSCN3531

“They will come with weeping; they will pray as I bring them back.

I will lead them beside streams of water on a level path where they will not stumble.”

~Jeremiah 31:9

I love this verse and the picture it gives me.  Weeping, praying, God bringing me to a place of rest and refreshing and safety.  God is so good.  Blessings, Lisa

The Road at Your Feet

1003

“And when you’re traveling along,” she concluded, looking out at the passing fields, “think only of the road at your feet and all that surrounds it, for you may well find the road isn’t half long enough when you make your turn for home.”

~Last of the Donkey Pilgrims,  Kevin O’Hara, c 2004

Yes, I know this is not a picture of a donkey, but it was a fine pony who worked hard in the Gap of Dunloe and had a kind man who took care of him.  As they walked along, the man would talk quietly to the pony and the pony would listen as they traveled the road at their feet.  Enjoy the road that God gives today; rocky or smooth…..part of the journey.  Slainte, Lisa

Low Tide

DSCN3374

When the tide is low, things are revealed which are usually unseen.

When things go wrong in life, the same is revealed.  The hidden thoughts, the strengths, the underlying structure of a person.

And God is what holds the sea and me together, during high and low tides.  The water comes, the water goes, but Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  (Hebrews 13:8)

Blessings, Lisa

“What kind of man is this?  Even the winds and the waves obey him!”  (Matthew 8:27)

At the End of an Ancient Road…

…lies Dunseverick Castle.  One of the high roads from Tara ended on this beautiful cliff in County Antrim.  Although the castle was destroyed in 1641, it’s location and the imagination of what was is a feast for the eyes and mind.

Here’s to the day….to seeing, to hearing, to thinking, to feeling…all the amazing things that God has placed all around to experience.  Cliffs, water, skies, rocks, grasses, birds, dogs, laughter, tears, wind, rain, warmth….
