What Angels See

Amy Grant has had such a great influence in my life as a songwriter, a singer, and as a Christian.  Back in college, I heard her blaring out from a dorm neighbor’s room, and I liked it.  I didn’t listen to any Christian music back then, but I liked this.  Her music helped me to understand more of who Jesus really was, and opened me up to truth.  Hope this song from her new album How Mercy Looks from Here is encouraging to you today, “If I Could See.”  Great album.  Blessings, Lisa

Technical Difficulties, or the 1963 Post

I had a great post ready this morning…a video of 1963 Ireland, complete with a wonderfully understated step dancer, an adept fiddler, and a very well-dressed early 60’s crowd. But alas, technical difficulties beset the best of my intentions, and no such post appeared. So, rather like a silent movie, I will insert a still shot and let your imagination provide the rest. Or, for if your imagination is on temporary vacation, you can click on this link,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYvU7oBBgKA and see if you can bring the actual video to life on your computer. Slainte, Lisa

Just like now, faster is not always better.  The precision and accuracy of the player and dancer takes great talent.  Love it!  No technical difficulties on their part.

With All Your Heart

“A bell’s not a bell ’til you ring it,

A song’s not a song ’til you sing it

Love in your heart wasn’t put there to stay

Love isn’t love ’til you give it away.”

-Oscar Hammerstein II, Sound of Music, “Sixteen Going on Seventeen”

Ringing, singing, loving…whatever you’re doing today, go for it with all your heart!  Slainte, Lisa

God Bless the USA

Happy birthday, America!  The land of the free, the home of the brave…America, America, God shed His grace on thee, and crown thy good with brotherhood from sea to shining sea…And I’m proud to be an American, where at least I know I’m free, and I won’t forget the men who died who gave that right to me, and I’ll gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today, for there ain’t no doubt I love this land….God bless the USA!

Singing yet?  🙂  Have an awesome 4th of July, wherever you are today.  Blessings, Lisa

I Will Sing

Some mornings, or afternoons, or evenings, I just don’t want to sing.  For a person who loves to sing, this is always weird and disconcerting.  But when I feel like that, that is the very time that I need to sing the most.  It lifts me out of the pity-party mode and into the God-party.  🙂

“I will sing to the Lord, because He has dealt bountifully with me.” ~Psalm 13:6

God is so good.  Blessings on your day, Lisa
