The Chuckleness Factor

lucy

My made-up word of the day is “chuckleness.”  As could be used in the sentence, “That scene had an awesome chuckleness factor to it.”  (I in fact used that sentence last night after dinner, thereby prompting this post of questionable import.)  My equally made-up definition is as follows:

Chuckleness- (adjective) used to describe the funniness or humor of an object, occurrence, or quality.  Best when used with the noun “factor.”

I will now list several funny scenes from popular TV shows for you to vote on the one with the best “chuckleness factor.”  You will probably not know all of them, so just vote for the one you remember and laugh at the best.  And may your day have a chuckleness factor of 10!  Slainte, Lisa

Oversleeping: A Tale of Contentment and Consternation

overslept
The Setting:  A dark, rainy, overcast, soft morning

The Scene:  All occupants of the house are blissfully sleeping, happy and snug in their nice warm beds under mounds of blankets.

The Precipitating Moment:  Youngest occupant of the house awakens, which alerts the other sleeping people of life past the bedcovers.

Pinnacle of the Action:  Oldest occupants glance casually at the clock and discover, that, oh my goodness, they have seriously overslept!

Predictable and Cliched Outcome:  Mad clash of running around, skipping morning routines, racing heartbeats, leading to eventual calming as bus is made, truck takes off for work.

Lesson Learned:  Double check alarm tonight.  🙂

Have a peaceful and hopefully un-consternated day.  Slainte, Lisa

The Story of a Snowman, Part One

DSCN0181

The day after Christmas, it snowed.  A wet, sticky, heavy snow that was just perfect for snowmen and snowballs.  So we made a snowman…a big hearty fellow with a kind face and an orange for a nose.  Being the highly original people that we are, we named him Frosty, and he seemed pleased.   With his jaunty cap and festive scarf, he greeted passers-by on the road for an entire day.  However, sometime on the second day, he fell, face down, as if he was taking a nap.  I felt ridiculously sad about the whole thing, as I had liked this snowman more than a person should, and couldn’t bring myself to go look at him laying there.  (You have to remember, I was the kind of child who cried when my favorite trees were cut down, and my “Chitty-Chitty Putt-Putt” car of my dad’s was sold.)  I thought Frosty’s story was over, but I was very wrong.  I had a wonderful surprise waiting for me that evening.  Please tune into Monday’s installment to read the conclusion of the Snowman’s story.  Slainte, Lisa

Monday Morning…You Gotta Laugh

Seeing how it’s Monday, and it’s getting close to Christmas, I definitely feel in need of a laugh.  Hope these provide you with a modicum of jocularity.  🙂  Slainte, Lisa
