I’ve been thinking about change. Sand dunes blow, shift, rearrange with time, wind, and water. Yet the essence of the sand dune remains. It’s still sand; it is still present in some form although maybe different. Storms blow through all our lives, rearranging things, shifting priorities, helping us to see what’s really important. Family, friends, Jesus, love, sacrifice for others, giving, smiling, caring….those are the things that remain. Things may look different, but they are really the same. “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these if love.” ~1Corinthians 13:13 Hold on to what remains, and know that no matter what changes come into your life, God’s love for you remains steady and unchanging, always. We cry, we hope, we call out to God to help. Sometimes the help is quick, but sometimes we don’t hear the answer that we think is best. And sometimes the answer to our prayers comes rushing in like a wave of hope, lifting us up with overwhelming love for God. And that’s how I am today….overwhelmed, thankful, grateful, loving God so much for His provision and lovingkindness. Thank you, God. “Praise the Lord! For he has heard my cry for mercy.
