What is it about a tree that makes us feel so protected and sheltered? Standing next to a tree, even when I was a little girl, I feel better. I love to lean up against the strong trunks and gaze up into the lofty green leaves with sunlight diffusing through them.
So today, with Thanksgiving coming up tomorrow, I want to thank God the amazing Creator for all the beauty He made….trees, leaves, oceans, skies of all varieties, the wind on my face. I am thankful for all of this and more, because when I see and feel these things, it feels like He’s right here, always. Blessings, Lisa
Once upon a time —–there was a little girl who was particularly fond of two trees. They were her friends. Her dad, not knowing better, thought that the yard needed more sun light and that the trees were a danger to the house. Short story – he cut them down. Lasting story – he has been sorr y ever since. Happy Thanksgiving.
What a story! I’m sure that she understands now that she is all grown up. And I’m also sure that she loves her dad more than those trees. 🙂 Thanks for writing! Lisa
That is surely one of the most special posts I have ever read, and like your dad, I remember that little gel who loved trees more than anything , and playing under their shelter was one of the most special things she ever enjoyed doing!! Ann
Thank you so much for the encouragement; this looks like a good day to go stand under a tree! 🙂 heehee
