Never-Ending

Never-Ending….

Synonyms: continuous, unceasing, constant, continual, perpetual, unfaltering, permanent, steady, relentless, persistent, endless

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [never-ending].” – Revelation 22:13

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal [never-ending] life.” – John 3:16

“The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: β€œI have loved you with an everlasting [never-ending] love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” – Jeremiah 31:3

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away [never-ending].” – Matthew 24:35

I am thinking of permanence, of unchanging, of persistent, of everlasting love this morning. Long after this earth has passed away, God and God alone will remain. The wonderful, beautiful Jesus Christ will be the shining city on the hill.

Love Him more…..that is the only thing that will bring my heart contentment and rest. Not the vacation, not the new clothes, not the fake “happy” smile. Just Him.

Never-Ending.

Love, Lisa

Snow

All photo credits, Amy Lyons 2021

Snow came to Virginia. Heavy, wet, white, covering, pure snow.

The hush that comes with snow came also, the peace, the stillness.

Some of my favorite snow and winter quotes:

Wrong will be right, when Aslan comes in sight, at the sound of his roar, sorrows will be no more, when he bares his teeth, winter meets its death, and when he shakes his mane, we shall have spring again.” -C.S. Lewis, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

β€œCome now, and let us reason together,”
Says the Lord,
β€œThough your sins are as scarlet,
They will be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They will be like wool.” – Isaiah 1:1
8

“And his appearance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow.” – Matthew 28:3

Thank you, God, the giver of the snow and the rain and the wind and the sun. You give us so many good things, things that bring joy and peace to our hearts. You are so good. Love, Lisa

Where You Breathe the Best

Near Slea Head, Dingle, Ireland

I thought it would be fun today to find out where all of you dream/breathe the best. The place you travel to in your imagination. The place you would go to right now if there was no COVID in the world. It might be where you are right now, or it might be somewhere far away. Somewhere you have been, or somewhere you would love to go.

Let’s all travel together today virtually.

Ready….set…..write! πŸ™‚ Love, Lisa

P.S. I did not say my place, as I know you guys already know! heehee πŸ™‚

When I Am By the Sea

My son, long ago, yet as yesterday, as he sits beside the sea in Ireland.

When I am by the sea, all the noise stops

Save the roar and crash of waves and wind

The Voice of God speaks loudest

When I stay and rest and listen

The rocks, the sand, the waters’ force

Bid me stay forever

I must go, but always know

I’ll be there in my heart

Instead

This world likes to scare us. But God has not given us a spirit of fear, but He has given us power, love, and a sound mind. I thought I would find some of my very favorite journey photos my husband and I have taken over the years to try and replace the fear with the good God things this morning. Have fun thinking of your good God things this morning also. Love, Lisa
