Waiting, thinking, breathing, seeing
Knowing it will come, and then go
Wondering, hoping, still waiting
The water holds the boat as a cradle
Rocking, protecting, carrying on to a new place

By Killarney’s lakes and fells,
Emerald Isles and winding bays,
Mountain paths and woodland dells,
Mem’ry ever fondly strays;
Bounteous nature loves all lands;
Beauty wanders everywhere,
Footprints leaves on many strands,
But her home is surely there!
Angels fold their wings and rest
In that Eden of the west,
Beauty’s home, Killarney,
Ever fair Killarney.
25 years ago today, I was waking up and filled with excitement because the next day was my wedding day! 25 years ago today, I was getting ready for our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner at Lake of the Woods. That strange, unique feeling of nervous and excited combined to make for a giddy and unforgettable day.
And then my husband to be sent me a perfect rose and calmed my high-octane spirit down into peaceful happiness and a sense that all was right in this decision. 25 years ago today, I was getting ready to marry the man that I had always loved and still love so much today. Remembering it now, and so grateful and thankful that God put us together. Hold tightly to those you love, and let them know that you remember and are glad. Slainte, Lisa
A series of photos on the Lakes of Killarney…look at all of them and tell me where your eyes are fixed and focused.
Most of you probably said the bridges. That’s what my family and I found ourselves watching as we traveled towards them. Our eyes traveled ahead and focused on them and watched as they grew ever closer. In the vast lake, it was strangely grounding to see the bridges and know our destination.
“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith…” (Hebrews 12:2a) The most amazing focal point ever, grounding and giving of the best destination ever.
Travel well and with your destination firmly set in your mind. Slainte, Lisa
