Fix Your Eyes

A series of photos on the Lakes of Killarney…look at all of them and tell me where your eyes are fixed and focused.

Most of you probably said the bridges.  That’s what my family and I found ourselves watching as we traveled towards them.  Our eyes traveled ahead and focused on them and watched as they grew ever closer.  In the vast lake, it was strangely grounding to see the bridges and know our destination.

“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith…” (Hebrews 12:2a)  The most amazing focal point ever, grounding and giving of the best destination ever.

Travel well and with your destination firmly set in your mind.  Slainte, Lisa

  1. In the first picture, I saw the flag. In 2-3 I really saw the tunnel under the bridge rather than the bridge itself. There has got to be a hidden meaning somewhere there – right?

    • It’s so interesting to me to see what others focus on as they see something. I don’t think there’s any right or wrong answer; I think that God just fashioned us all a little differently so that we can help each other see different perspectives. And that’s awesome! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

  2. I imagine passing under the bridges as a gateway to eternity with Heaven’s country on the other side-a place of beauty and delights, of family reunions, and finally seeing Jesus face to face.

I welcome your thoughts...
