Do you believe in the account of Christ’s nativity?
Why would God send His beloved Son to this earth, to live as a man, and to suffer?
Do you believe that God loves you, even before you loved Him?
Do you feel uneasy and scared about what happens after death?
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26)
One taken quickly, without allowing autofocus to kick in.
One taken properly, the camera autofocusing on the beautiful daffodils.
I want my focus on Christ to be fixed, on autofocus. I pray that each day, my gaze will be automatically fixed more and more on His goodness, His mercy, His forgiveness, His love. All the other unlovelies will fade into the background, and all I will see is Him. Please, Lord Jesus, help me not to be so easily distracted.
“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” – Hebrews 12:2
Because Jesus Christ is all that matters. He is the most beautiful, the most perfect, the eternal.
“For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then we will see face to face.” – 1 Corinthians 13:12a
“Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when He appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.” – 1 John 3:2
“I AM the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” – John 14:6
“And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, He gave up His spirit. At that moment the curtain [veil] of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split. The tombs broke open and the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life.” – Matthew 27:50-52
