Solid, True, Eternal

Are you looking for something that never changes?

Are you yearning for safety and stability?

Are you afraid of death and the unknown future?

Are you desperate for meaning and purpose for your life?

There is one answer alone that answers all of those questions….

The Glorious, True, Righteous, Risen, Eternal God, Prince of Peace, the Solid Rock

The Lord Jesus Christ who died for my sins and for yours, who rose again on the third day, who lives eternally, and who promises the same eternal beautiful life to all who believe in His Name.

Resurrection Sunday is every day….He lives! Praise God for the solid rock and anchor that holds us and never lets go.

I may not know you personally, but Jesus does. He knows everything about you, and He loves you so much. Please open the door of your heart to Him. He wants to save you and give you peace that you have never known before in your life.

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly rest on Jesus’ name
On Christ the solid rock I stand
All other ground is sinking sand
All other ground is sinking sand

When Darkness veils His lovely face
I rest in his unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil

On Christ the solid rock i stand
All other ground is sinking sand
All other ground is sinking sand

On Christ the solid rock I stand
All other ground is sinking sand
All other ground is sinking sand

– Edward Mote, 1834, “On Christ the solid rock I stand”

Blessings and love to you, Lisa

Thank You

When I knew nothing of You, You knew all about me

When I was lost in the darkness, You were the Light that kept me safe

When I was drowning in guilt, You kept me afloat

When I reached out to You, You heard and answered me

You hung on a cross to pay for all the bad I have done

Even though I was blind to it for so long

But thank You, thank You, thank You.

You are Lord of all, You are King of the universe, You are Everything.

Thank You, Jesus.

Death is no more, You have conquered the grave

For all who believe in You, You made the way

To eternal life, to peace, to joy

You rose after three, You’re alive evermore

You are God, You are Lord, You are King

Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Jesus.

This World Is Not My Home

Are you feeling overwhelmed? Is this world and its constant troubles weighing heavy on your soul? This song by Rich Mullins, recorded live in 1992, came into my mind this morning. Once again, the thought of what is waiting for me in Heaven with my Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ covered me in warmth and comfort like the best of soft cuddly blankets.

“In this world, you will have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33

“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” – Matthew 11:28-29

“Instead, they were longing for a better country- a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.” – Hebrews 11:16

“But our citizenship is in Heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.” – Philippians 3:20

Take heart, look up, be God’s. Love, Lisa

Good News

jesusholdingsheep

Jesus answered, “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand.  My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.  I and the Father are one.”  ~John 10:28-30

How can it be?  Jesus holds me tightly, will not and cannot let me go.  I am safe, secure, and loved beyond measure.  Good news; great news!  Read some of John’s book in the Bible today….you’ll be glad.  🙂  Slainte, Lisa
