Solid, True, Eternal

Are you looking for something that never changes?

Are you yearning for safety and stability?

Are you afraid of death and the unknown future?

Are you desperate for meaning and purpose for your life?

There is one answer alone that answers all of those questions….

The Glorious, True, Righteous, Risen, Eternal God, Prince of Peace, the Solid Rock

The Lord Jesus Christ who died for my sins and for yours, who rose again on the third day, who lives eternally, and who promises the same eternal beautiful life to all who believe in His Name.

Resurrection Sunday is every day….He lives! Praise God for the solid rock and anchor that holds us and never lets go.

I may not know you personally, but Jesus does. He knows everything about you, and He loves you so much. Please open the door of your heart to Him. He wants to save you and give you peace that you have never known before in your life.

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly rest on Jesus’ name
On Christ the solid rock I stand
All other ground is sinking sand
All other ground is sinking sand

When Darkness veils His lovely face
I rest in his unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil

On Christ the solid rock i stand
All other ground is sinking sand
All other ground is sinking sand

On Christ the solid rock I stand
All other ground is sinking sand
All other ground is sinking sand

– Edward Mote, 1834, “On Christ the solid rock I stand”

The Most Important Question of Your Life

“But what about you?” He [Jesus] asked, “Who do you say I am?” -Mark 8:29

You may have read this before, or heard it, maybe a thousand times.

But your true, real, considered deep in your mind and heart answer is the most important decision and answer of your life.

No over-exaggeration here.

Think about it.

Love and blessings to you all, Lisa

Timeless

Dingle, Ireland

The place where God and earth and eternity intersect is timelessness and true beauty.

That place can be anywhere where your eyes are open, really open.

It is where your ears hear birds and wind, where your feet itch to keep moving.

Timelessness is the place of the heart, the yearning of the soul, the Voice of God.

Blessings, Lisa

Questions

Do you believe in the account of Christ’s nativity?

Why would God send His beloved Son to this earth, to live as a man, and to suffer?

Do you believe that God loves you, even before you loved Him?

Do you feel uneasy and scared about what happens after death?

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26)

Autofocus

Two photographs for your perusal.

One taken quickly, without allowing autofocus to kick in.

One taken properly, the camera autofocusing on the beautiful daffodils.

I want my focus on Christ to be fixed, on autofocus. I pray that each day, my gaze will be automatically fixed more and more on His goodness, His mercy, His forgiveness, His love. All the other unlovelies will fade into the background, and all I will see is Him. Please, Lord Jesus, help me not to be so easily distracted.

“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” – Hebrews 12:2

Because Jesus Christ is all that matters. He is the most beautiful, the most perfect, the eternal.
