“You’re With Me”

c 2012 Lisa Lyons

I don’t know what this road is; I don’t know where it leads…

I only know I’m safe when You’re with me.

I get so turned around; so many detours call me…

But I only know the way ’cause You’re with me.

And when I feel  far from You, I know You’re still there beside me

Holding my hand, leading me on and on…

My feelings change; my moods rearrange like the trees out in the wind

But I don’t fly alone ’cause You’re with me

I need to see that You’re living in me…You’re my only Constant

Remove this discontent…Breathe in me…

And when I feel far from You, I know You’re still there beside me

Holding my hand, leading me on and on…

He never leaves you or forsakes you.  He promised.  Blessings on your weekend, Lisa

I Will Not Fear
c2012 Lisa Lyons

I will not fear for You promise to stay by me

Who can I fear when You’re by my side?

You are my strength, giving me song

Keeping me safe in Your arms…

Help me to run to You when I feel scared and all alone

Knowing You’ll hide me safe within Your shadow

Let me love the way You love me, open my eyes to see

You desire only good for me…

I will not fear for You promise to stay by me

Who can I fear when You’re by my side?

Blessings to you for a weekend that is full of love, friends, family, and may you know without a doubt that the love of God is all around you.           Slainte, Lisa

Lisa’s Top 5 St Patrick’s Day Countdown…Number 2

I’m counting down my favorite Irish singers/bands as St. Patrick’s Day approaches.  Cara Dillon, hailing from Northern Ireland, has the number 2 spot on my Irish playlist.  Her voice is unique and pure, and needs nothing extra to make it special.  But it doesn’t hurt that she’s married to an extraordinary pianist/guitarist, Sam Lakeman.  This is “Garden Valley” from the Transatlantic Sessions 2007.    Blessings, Lisa

Lisa Top 5 St Patrick’s Day Countdown…Number 3

Narrowing down my top 3 favorite Irish bands/singers has been a daunting task, but an enjoyable one, as I get to listen to lots of great tunes while deciding.  🙂  Number three has got to be The Chieftains…when I listen to them, I feel like I’m right there in Ireland, sitting by the fire in a pub, with great craic all about.  Here’s a clip of The Chieftains performing in 1991 with the pre-Riverdance Jean Butler.  Enjoy the hornpipe and the dancing.  Slainte, Lisa

Lisa’s Top 5 St. Patrick’s Day Countdown…Number 4

I’m counting down my top 5 favorite Irish singers/groups, and coming in at number four is a singer/whistler/flutist from County Kerry named Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh. She is the lead singer from Danu, but has also done two solo projects. The tin whistle and Irish flute are definitely my favorite trad instruments, and Muireann is a wonder at both. Enjoy this live performance of “An Spealadoir/The Caucus/Wind”. Slainte, Lisa
