I’m counting down my favorite Irish singers/bands as St. Patrick’s Day approaches. Cara Dillon, hailing from Northern Ireland, has the number 2 spot on my Irish playlist. Her voice is unique and pure, and needs nothing extra to make it special. But it doesn’t hurt that she’s married to an extraordinary pianist/guitarist, Sam Lakeman. This is “Garden Valley” from the Transatlantic Sessions 2007. Blessings, Lisa
I really enjoyed that one. The vocals and the guitar were great 🙂
Glad you liked it…I listen to her a lot…very chilled and relaxing. Have a nice weekend, Peter.
Loving this, Lisa! Don’t forget my neighbors, Deirdre Shannon and also the Celtic Tenors. Dolores Keane’s rendition of Caledonia will bring tears to your eyes.
Thanks! 🙂 Yes, I have heard Dolores Keane’s Caledonia…truly beautiful and moving. And now I’m going to check out Deirdre Shannon…Have a wonderful St. Patrick’s Day weekend. Love, Lisa
