From The Top

We made it, one step at a time, about 100 steps, and stopped…turned…looked….aaahhh!  Totally worth it.  Whatever staircase is facing you today, don’t think too much about how big it is, or how many steps you have to go.  Just take that first step, then another, then rest awhile, and continue.  You will reach the top eventually; there’s no rush.  And then the view from the top….aaahhh!  🙂  Slainte, Lisa

Reflection of the Sky

DSCN0652Two pictures, same island, same day.  One with bright blue skies, brilliant sun and clear blue water.  Later that day as a tropical storm rolled in, the differences in the water’s colour are dramatic.  Darker steel blue, not as much clarity.  The water is a reflection of the light, the sky, the sun.  As we are also, or should be.   God, our Light, our Morning Star, gives light always, and we should be sparkling blue and clear and beautiful in reflection of how amazingly awesome He is.  I’m feeling a little steel blue this morning…maybe I need to spend some time looking at the Bright and Morning Star.  🙂  Slainte, Lisa

Whether it be around the block, up a hill, or to your mailbox, enjoy every step that you can walk today.  Breathe deeply, look up, and thank God.  Slainte, Lisa

The Sheltered Path

Earlier on this particular day, it was windy, so much so that we couldn’t open our car doors at the beach.  But we got to this wooded and sheltered path, just 5 miles down the road, and the wind was still.  It was warm and cozy and protected.

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’ ”  ~Psalm 91:1-2     We all long to be safe, protected, loved, secure.  Run to the arms of Jesus; He will keep you right where you’ve always needed to be.  Blessings, Lisa
