Deep Calls to Deep

DSCN2463“Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me.”  ~ Psalm 42:7

Certain verses and quotes speak to me profoundly, even though I don’t quite grasp the entirety of what it is trying to say.  At the risk of being redundant, they are too deep.  Like God.  I think I understand Him, but I really only just see the surface, the beginnings of wonderfulness.  There is so much more than what we can see and understand, and that is exciting.  The future is thrilling in its uncertain discoveries.  Comment below and share your thoughts on this verse, how it makes you feel, what thoughts come to your mind.  Blessings, Lisa

  1. Lisa I completely agree with you. Some verses etc are indeed too deep for me too. But they are beautiful and so it comes down to letting that beauty fill our souls. And perhaps over time they come to make sense, to have even more meaning than simply the loveliness of words.

    • “But they are beautiful and so it comes down to letting that beauty fill our souls.”….Love that Katie! 🙂 I am glad that the post encouraged you, and I pray that God gave you a wonderful day today and a peaceful evening. Take care, Lisa

  2. I don’t know why, but this verse brings to my mind the simple little song I learned when I was a child, which went something like this: “Deep and wide; deep and wide; There’s a fountain flowing deep and wide!” That’s certainly how deep his love is for each of us! Blessings to you this day and always!

    • And I can still do the motions to that song. 🙂 Thanks so much for writing and sharing your thoughts. Blessings to you also. Lisa

I welcome your thoughts...
