“You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord, is the Rock eternal.” ~Isaiah 26:3-4
Peace does not come from the perfect present, a spotless house, the most delicious fudge ever made. Peace comes from Jesus, who descended from perfect Heaven into this world because He loves us. That is love, that is sacrifice, that is peace. Blessings, Lisa
While I do agree with you, fudge works pretty well. 😀
Haha…You’re right! But I’ve been on South Beach diet for a while, so no fudge for me this year. Eat an extra piece for me! 🙂 Lisa
Your statement of true peace and contentment is definitely true. However, I have to side with Jeff in that chocolate was certainly created to give us that “heavenly” feeling. Merry Christmas! Maybe by remembering all the chocolate of Christmases past, that will get you through this one without that tasty morsel.
I’m good without it….God has definitely given me a new love for green healthy stuff that I never had before, and I’m thankful. Thanks for writing! 🙂 Lisa
Chocolate brings temporary happiness, but it makes a poor bandaid for a troubled heart. Jesus is the One who heals our wounds from the inside out, and doesn’t mess with our waistline!
Don’t forget 70%+ cocoa chocolate is a health food and Jesus gave it to us just like He did pine trees and holly berries. 😀
