One of my favorite things about Ireland are the sheep. They are everywhere out in the country, and usually stay together, like this herd outside the gates of Kells Priory.
But as we went inside to explore further, we found two little sheep that were doing their own relaxing for the day. They had decided to go on holiday, and we’re so glad they did.
Follow the crowd if you must today, but make sure they’re headed somewhere good. If not, break away and find your own spot. 🙂 Slainte, Lisa
Sounds like a plan. What strikes me is that I don’t see many, if any, lambs. Perhaps the lambing season is in the spring and these pictures were taken in the fall. But for some reason they all seem to be ewes. Just an observation, which may be incorrect.
On closer examination there does seem to be a few young ones in the flock.
These pictures were taken in July, so most of the spring lambs were getting a little bigger. 🙂
