“You do a great injustice to dismiss these blessings from God as random occurrences…don’t discard God’s boundless love as mere coincidence. His Presence is everywhere for eyes that see and ears that hear. Keep your journey on the way of the pilgrim.” – Brother Malachy, a character from the book The Last of the Donkey Pilgrims by Kevin O’Hara
I’m going to try to keep my ears and eyes open today. God is whispering and sometimes shouting to me how much He loves me and wants to be closer to me. I want to hear and see Him when He does. Slainte, Lisa
Yep—Sometimes we are all a little hard of hearing.
Hope you heard God’s beautiful ocean today.
I want to hear and see Him when He does, too.
Hope you had a seeing and hearing extravaganza day. 🙂 Lisa
Update on my day: I had two routine doctor checkups today that my two girls had to go with me to. They made it through both like little angels, with no sibling fighting. I take that as a definite “I love you” from God today! 🙂
Your post was great. How often are we just not present and in our heads thinking rather than being open to the senses of the moment and the gift they are from God. So many daily miracles are not experienced, so many mere gifts lost to us. Just today I went to my local coffe shop (I am a professed coffee addict) where the girls are well known to me (or should I say me to them cos I’m so often there) and when my cup arrived, the barrista had written my name in chocolate across the top of the coffee…..I know it’s a miniscule thing but it was a gift of thoughtfulness and love from her and I didnt want to take it for granted cos it did make me feel special.
Anytime your name is written in chocolate, I’d say that was an awesome blessing! 🙂 You’re so right…the little things can be the biggest blessings. I just have to slow down enough to see them. Thanks for writing! Lisa
