A Reason To Sing

“Although the world is full of suffering, it is full also of the overcoming of it.” ~Helen Keller

“Do not stop thinking of life as an adventure. You have no security unless you can live bravely, excitingly, imaginatively; unless you can choose a challenge instead of competence.” ~Eleanor Roosevelt

“In this world you will have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world.”  ~Jesus, Matthew 16:33

Finnegan Friday

DSCN2940DSCN2948

It’s Friday, and thank the good Lord above, a little time to chill and relax.  Here is Finnegan, my fine little pooch.  He really knows how to kick back…just find a good dog bed, a favorite blanket, his baby….he’s good to go.  Praying that you have some good chill out time this weekend also.  Blessings, Lisa

Good Morning

happysheep
“Do you wish me a good morning,
or mean that it is a good morning whether I want it or not;
or that you feel good this morning;
or that it is a morning to be good on?”
~Gandalf, The Hobbit, J.R.R. Tolkien
You and I can ponder on this for a while, or maybe not, or maybe just for a brief moment.  Whatever path your feet are upon today, may God smooth your way.  Slainte, Lisa

Finding Diamonds

DSCN2711

We will always find what we’re looking for….if we’re looking for the good, we can see it.  If we’re determined to see the worst, we will definitely find it.

“Because there’s so much good in the worst of us….

So much bad in the best of us

It never makes sense for any of us

To criticize the rest of us

We’ll just find what we’re looking for, find what we’re looking for.”

~Amy Grant, “Find What You’re Looking For”, How Mercy Looks From Here

I’m praying the Lord helps me to look for diamonds and beauty and joy today in others.  Be blessed today, Lisa

Feeling Crabby?

DSCN2746

“I’m up….I’m up!”

Some days we just wake up on the wrong side of the bed, and feel, well….kind of like this cute little guy.  So if you’re feeling crabby this morning, check out a few moments of a real crab’s day.

"I must still be tired....or sand is in my eyes."

“I must still be tired….or sand is in my eyes.”

"That's it....back to bed, my nice little hole in the ground."

“That’s it….back to bed, my nice little hole in the ground.”

Thanks to the obliging Outer Banks crab who kindly posed for these photographs.  🙂  Slainte, Lisa
