“I am prepared to go anywhere, provided it be forward.” ~David Livingstone
“Forward, ho!” ~Sing Street

Standing as tall as she can
She stretches her neck towards the sun
Petals showing their age but still retaining color of blushes
Lightly lined and becoming dry
She is happy to be there, in the garden, in the sun, in the green
Feeling the touch of the wind and the rain on her skin
Still alive and lovely and glad to be

“I’m not strong enough.”
“I can’t do this.”
“I can’t see how this is going to work out.”
Are we strong enough? No. But God is. Always.
We don’t see the strength beforehand…it comes as we need it, step by step.
And that’s where I rest, in Jesus’ hands, where there is rest and peace and protection.
So many people I know are going through some very difficult times. I find myself praying more and more. I have to have another surgery on my ankle in October. More inactivity, more propping the foot up for hours on end. But also, more time to spend with the One who has all the strength and hope and answers and power. Jesus. Thank God for that.
“God gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” ~Isaiah 40:29
Whatever you’re facing, Jesus is your strength. Slainte, Lisa

Following the fence posts, one by one, until the meaning of what they are blurs
Steps, one by one, through soft ground, mire, holes, rises
Keeping hope, without sight, hoping that what is over the rise is better than what is past
Finally, blue and power and water and sky and ease and release
Going on and on and on with God forever
