Distance and Time

Sometimes when we are too close to something, it loses all perspective.

Clouded, muddy, overwhelming.

Distance and time usually help.

Taking a step back, or two or ten.

Waiting for a day or a year.

The clouds will pass, and the beauty of the mountain revealed.

“I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I put my hope.  My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning.”  – Psalm 130:6

Love, Lisa

  1. So true of many things in our lives, and worded so beautifully, as you tied it in with your special Blue Ridge Mountain nearby! Yes, we often need to just “step back!” Love to you!

  2. Oh yes, Lisa, perspective is everything. Seeing through God’s eyes and not our weary ones. And thanking Him for every change of the mountain as the soul moves through it’s burdens and fears on to more trust. A difficult climb. But never impossible with God. Beautiful thoughts expressed by a very strong and devoted Child of God. Thank you. You always bless me.

I welcome your thoughts...
