The castle stays, the walls remain
A semblance of what was
The memories there, the heartache shared
The battles won and lost
Time goes on, footsteps through
Touching stone and tears
Distance dims, history made
But love and heart go on.

HOW BEAUTIFUL! Thank you, Lisa, for touching my heart in such a profound way today. God bless you always!
I’m glad you liked it. 🙂 Have an awesome day! Lisa
Beautiful poem and photo. But I have to ask . . . is that a security camera in the window of that castle? 😀
It sure appears to be so….the mark of today seems out of place on the past. ;/
Hope your day is a good one, Jeff. Lisa
Beautiful.
Evoked in me the similar feelings that inspired one of my poems: https://serenereflection.wordpress.com/2015/01/15/poems-notice-the-underlying-presence/
