Sea Oats

DSCN1318

Although delicate, they protect.  Although bendable, they withstand.  Sea oats on a dune…protecting the vulnerable sand dunes and withstanding steady ocean winds.  Those thin reeds might sometimes wonder if they’ll have what it takes.  But in the morning after a fierce nor’easter, they stand, they go on another day.  I pray that God gives me the strength to do the same.  “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”  ~Isaiah 40:31   Have a blessed day, Lisa

  1. What a beautiful visual of the Outer Banks’ sand dunes and sea oats! Yes, they have stood the test of many fierce waves and storms, and with our Lord’s help, so will we. It’s the storms of life that make us strong and resilient, and help us appreciate all the blessings we’ve had along life’s way!

I welcome your thoughts...
