“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Sadness, sorrow, disbelief, anger…mostly sadness, for all those innocent people hurt, killed and traumatized by the Boston Marathon attack.  What kind of person or group of people is capable of such a senseless act?  A person with no love or compassion in their heart.  A person who can’t think beyond him or herself and their own personal agenda.  We need to take a hard look within our hearts, find what is in there, and go after the love.  And love is only found in God.

“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God.  Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.  Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.  This is how God showed his love among us:  He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.  This is love:  not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.  Since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”  – 1 John 4:7-11

Find and hold onto God with all your heart, soul and mind.  Because He is love.  He is hope.  And He has the answers, although we might not understand until we’re with Him one day.  Love and blessings, Lisa

  1. I only wish that there was a “love it” option. What a wonderful quote, with inspirational words for such trying times in our lives. Thank you for your blog. It is a wonderful start to my days.

    • And thank you for always being an encouragement to me to keep writing. Kindness, love, nice words…gives all of us hope that the horrible evil will NOT win in the end. No way. Love, Lisa
