Singing Before Breakfast

“To enjoy life you don’t need wealth or power but a song in your heart.”  – unknown

I awoke this morning to the sweet sound of my littlest daughter humming happily in the kitchen.  Not singing to anyone in particular, just humming and making up little tunes happily to herself.  And it is a precious thing.  Those who know me, also know that I am very quiet in the morning, and rarely sing or talk much before I’ve had my breakfast and tea.  But this morning, she inspired me, and as we waited outside in the freezing cold for the bus, she had me singing “Jingle Bells” with her.  🙂

Something about music, about singing, just lifts your spirit and gives the day better wings.  So….go on, you know you want to now….sing something!  The louder the better.  Make people stare and give them something interesting to talk about.  🙂  Slainte, Lisa

“”Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”  – Ephesians 5:19b-20

  1. Believe me, everyone is better off if I just keep the song in my head. You’d have to hear it to believe it. But—I know what you mean about having a happy little girl in the house. It was wonderful!. (But I do sing in the shower.)

    • Haha…you should try singing out loud this morning just to see what happens! I bet it sounds wonderful. 🙂 And I love singing in the shower….great acoustics.

I welcome your thoughts...
