In all these photographs, I am drawn to the light. I want to be in the green place, the place with sunlight warming my skin, the place where I can see clearly. When a child or any of us feel afraid, we are drawn to put on a light, and it calms us.
“Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. The man who walks in the dark does not know where he is going. Put your trust in the light while you have it, so that you may become sons of light.” – Jesus, John 12:35b-36
“I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.” – Jesus, John 12:46
“I am the light of the world.” – Jesus, John 9:5b
“In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.” -John 1:4-5
Run to the Light, and don’t look back. Slainte, Lisa
I noticed the long, narrow window. Did you ever get the story behind the “why?”
Never did…yet another unsolved mystery to add to my collection. haha
I’ve seen such windows in Europe on castles and walls – I believe they are defensive in nature – designed such that arrows may be released from the inside and yet the narrow opening protects from attacks from the outside.
Love the scriptures!
You’re right, Jeff…thanks for writing in on the mystery! 🙂 Hope you have a blessed day. Lisa
Very Cool!!
God is cool like that….:)
Timing…love it. Riding my motorcycle up the San Joaquin Valley today and wished that I could have pulled to the side of the interstate to capture a picture of the rising sun shining through the rows of fruit trees and casting light in beautiful linear lines. “Put your trust in the light while you have it..” I rode for miles considering how I could write about it – thank you! Blessings~
Isn’t God awesome like that? Things like that have happened often to me too, and you can see God’s hand all over it. Blessings to you also. 🙂 Lisa
Yes, He alone is awesome. Just one more thing I enjoy about riding is being out where I am so close to creation. “All Creation indeed declares His name.” Thank you and Be Blessed
