A Blessing for St. Patrick’s Day

May you always know a love that shares

Their time, their comfort, their life and cares

Like someone who gave up his worldly ease

To return to a land of former captivity

To share the Love that knows no end

To set you free from guilt and shame

Patrick came back to Ireland so long ago

Out of love and calling did he go

E’en though he faced his painful past

No pain on earth could stop his task

And so today, my wish for you

To know the Christ that so loves you.

And just as St. Patrick once declared,

“The Lord is greater than all: I have said enough.”

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

St. Patrick

I pray to God to give me perseverance and to deign that I be a faithful witness to Him to the end of my life for my God.”

“I am certain in my heart that all that I am, I have received from God.”

Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me, Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me, Christ in every eye that sees me, Christ in every ear that hears me.

Protection.  Safety.  Victory.  Power.  Love.  Righteousness.  Forgiveness.  Life eternal.

The Shield of Christ.

“He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.”  – Proverbs 30:5b

“Christ, be with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me,
Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ on my right, Christ on my left, Christ where I lie, Christ where I sit,
Christ where I arise, Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of every man who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me, Christ in every ear that hears me.” – St. Patrick’s Lorica
