Sometimes, when I feel all churned up inside from too much chaos, it helps me to meditate on something much more powerful and strong. Thinking of the force of the ocean’s waves, its pull back into the depths of the sea, reminds me that God is so, so much stronger than this temporary life. Life is good, life is a gift, and life returns to Jesus. He made all things, He controls all things, He is taking care of me. Nothing else comes close to this. I can rest, I can trust. The pier is fuzzy. I’m too close. My camera lens searches and focuses on the water beyond. Clarity, perspective, focus.
Life…sometimes feels fuzzy, unclear, unfocused. Maybe I need to step back a step or two, or twenty, and see it better from further back. Not disconnect, but give it more perspective from not being right on top of each situation. Trusting God more, trusting others to figure things out, trusting that God will work all out for the best end. Easy to say, hard to do.
